The value contribution of IT (IT Value) describes the economic success of IT measures in companies. It mirrors the success that is earned additionally to the captial costs. In Unit 1: Basics we want to show you what we understand by value contribution. We create the requirements to estimate the IT value contribution to implement it step by step in your company.

After the introduction to IT Value Management and its implementation into finance management of a company we introduce measures and methods to estimate the scopes and the calculation of the technical function volume. Hereby we create an important basis for the calculation of projects and products which help and support us in the following analysis and are therefore a part of the basic stock of tools and methods.

The IT Benchmarking supports us in the evaluation of its own efficiency in comparsion to the market. It gives us hints if we have further potential or have already achieved our aim. This tool is a part of the further analysis so that the topic is included into the basiscs.

Eventually the Monitoring and Reporting is a measure of presentation which enables us to provide the necessary information at any time.
Therefore the seminar does not lead to a decision with regards to content but is an essential basis for communication in strategy and controlling of IT Values.

The further technical orientation for projects, products, portfolio, process and purchase are based on these seminars.
